Data Deletion Instructions

Story Circle is committed to your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request the deletion of your Story Circle account and all associated data, including data obtained through Facebook Login.

Option 1: Remove Story Circle via Facebook Settings

If you connected your Story Circle account using Facebook Login, you can revoke access and request data deletion directly from Facebook:

  1. Open Facebook and go to your account settings.
  2. Navigate to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, select Security and Login → Apps and Websites.
  4. Find Story Circle in the list of connected apps.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. In the confirmation dialog, check the option to delete all activity that Story Circle has stored, then confirm removal.

Facebook will notify Story Circle of your deletion request. We will process it within 30 days.

Option 2: Delete via Story Circle Account Settings

  1. Sign in to your Story Circle account at storycircle.ai.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

Option 3: Email Deletion Request

You can also request data deletion by sending an email to our support team:

Please include the email address or Facebook account associated with your Story Circle account so we can locate and remove your data.

What Happens After You Request Deletion

  • We will process your request within 30 days of receipt.
  • All personal data associated with your account, including your name, email address, profile picture, stories, and activity history, will be permanently deleted from our production systems.
  • Data held in encrypted backup archives will also be purged on the same 30-day cycle. No identifiable data from deleted accounts is restored from backups.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
  • Some anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., overall platform usage statistics) may be retained but cannot be linked back to you.
